As you can see I flipped this sketch on it's side so that I could use this photo of Linda, Leesh and I at Peta's retreat in October this year.

And thankyou to you all that have already joined in!

Thanks for dropping by!

Your Scraproom???

If you are anything like me, you love looking at other scrappers creative zone...
So, I was thinking that I might run a little competition..... I am going to do a random draw for a $20 gift voucher from
for everyone who Shares their scrap room or scrap space on their blog and then leave your blog addy in the comments section on my blog....and I will do a random draw for a RAK from me if you become a follower on my blog as well.

What do you think girls... it is a great opportunity to have a good tidy up!

Or if that is too hard, you can take a photo of the mess if you like??

oh hang on, I will also give a RAK for the messiest scrap room too

I cant wait to see your photos!

My Scrap Room

This afternoon I thought I would do a bit of a tidy up of my scrap desk as I had finished the layout that I was working on... so I just kept going with the tidying and sorting... Craig walked in and said to me 'that you had better take a photo of that, cause it never happens' PMSL. So I did! And I have proceeded to trash it all again bhahahahahahahaha

So here are some photos of my room :)

my tidy desk, with my laptop, cricut and tools and embellishement I use on nearly every page.
I love how I have heaps of natural light from this window, and how I can see what is happening in the outside world! (and also see when Craig is coming home,so I can pretend that I am busy doing housework lol)

my glimmer mist collection, I think I need some more colours. What do you think?
This shelving holds my ribbons, buttons and flowers. The bookcase underneath holds my paints, ribbon cards, string, Prima flower packs, extra DST

This rolling trolley holds my rubons, chipboard and some more flowers

some of my alpha collection... And I have heaps more in kits under the table :O
I still have to mount this peg board on the wall.. it holds my rindstones, pearls, masks and the black box holds ink refils and bits and bobs

I think most of you have already seen my punch organiser (aka shoe holder) I think I need another one...I don't know where I could hang it though?

mmm...Craigs computer...I would love to move this out of here... but I dont think that he would agree

I have a built in robe that runs along one wall of my scrap room... this is the middle section.. it holds my cardstock and embellies

This part of the robe holds my albums and layouts that need to be put in them

Thanks for dropping by....
Are you going to share your scraproom???

Even more LO's

Summer has finally arrived in Queensland :-O It has been sooo hot today and muggy which we normally don't get here, but not surprising really when everything is still soooo wet! And to top it all of we had a bit of a storm here already this afternoon... and has cooled things down nicely :) but I still have the a/c set at a lovely 24 degrees.
Craig and I went to the Chiro again this morning. Ouch! My lower back is still giving me trouble, and he told me that it will be six months before all my ligaments will be back to where they were....he told me that a few broken ribs wouldn't have been much easier to deal with......mmmm.... I wonder what Craig thinks of that?????

I have a few layouts to share that I have done for this month:

Craig is back to work tomorrow (and after 7 weeks at home, I am a bit excited about that lol) and the girls are back to school next week. Soooo.... I can see heaps of creating time coming up!

Sunny Sunday and some Layout Shares

Good morning!
It is a beautiful Sunny day here today, and I have no doubt that it is going to be nice and hot! So I am sure that the aircon will be on by lunch time! Lucky that we don't have evaporative like most people here in town, as our water levels are critical at the moment as our water treatment plant is under flood on the river and we only have the water in the reserve.  So not much washing happening here, but some scrapping is!

Here are some of my layouts that I did when we were down at Sar and Dan's on holidays.

Proud to be A Queenslander

I am sitting here on the lounge this morning watching Sunrise and am truly amazed at the amount of generosity of our fellow Australians, with both time and money to help with the clean up from the floods that have ravaged us in the last few weeks....
If you know me well, I have always claimed to be a New South Welshman even though I have lived in Queensland for the last 30 odd years. BUT after seeing all of this unfolding I AM PROUD TO SAY THAT I AM A QUEENSLANDER

I am also proud to be a part of the scrapbooking network here in Australia.

Kim Archer is conducting a special online workshop where all proceeds will go the Premiers Flood Relief Appeal. The workshop is only $5!

You can sign up here! I did!

You can also help by getting creative. Sharryn Thompson has started The Rising Waters Flood Appeal for Crafters are taking donations of scrap pages (minus the photo) that will then be sent to the flood victims for them to create their own scrapbook albums.

Head over to the blog to find out the details on where to send your pages.

Also, Sherry Mendoza has organised a Silent Auction of some awesome projects from some very talented Crafters to raise money for the appeal as well.. you can find more information about it here

And last but not least my gorgeous 'Kinda' Cousin Nic Bridges is having an online auction on one on her beautiful Quilted Wallhangings

you can find it here

Thankyou all for dropping by..

Donna xx
please bear with me will I have a bit of a play with my blog design.... I am looking for something bright and fresh...
any suggestions on websites to use?

First post for 2011

wow, its been a few weeks since I blogged!  We ended up escaping the flood and heading down to Sar's for just over a week... It was fantastic to see all the girls at the Savvy Crop on the Tuesday...
We arrived home a week ago to another flood...aaarrrrrggghhhhh

Mum and dad's house was surrounded by water again and so they had to evacuate here (again!) and one of Craig's friends from Brisbane was on his way home from holidays up in Northern Queensland and just barely got over the main bridge in town before they shut it off and cut the town in half :( The Toowoomba highway has been closed as well, actually all roads out of our town have been closed and they only opened today... and as you can imagine the shelves in the grocery stores are all empty... I am so glad that I hit the shops as soon as we got home on Friday afternoon... but gee a fresh loaf of bread would be nice!

Now that all my visitors have gone home I was able to scrap.. yahoo! I finished unpacking my tote from our trip and then cleaned up my scraproom so I could find my desk lol

This year I am determined to do a 52 weeks album and stick with it, last year I did the first page and that was it :( so.... today I did my first two weeks for my album...

I will be back later with some Layouts from last year that I haven't shared yet
