everyday things

Do you scrap photos about the everyday things in your life? Or do you just scrap the events?

I have been trying lately to scrap things 'about' me....... the things I like.

And boy do I love my Aldi coffee machine :) There is nothing better than that first cup of coffee of the day.

Another great love of mine is my laptop hee hee. Most of my friends are in there! I don't think I would have dealt with my depression without having my friends there to help me get through the bad days. And oh, do they make me laugh hee hee!

I have used October Afternoon's 9 to 5 range for both of these layouts. I bought the whole range and I have used it that much I barely have any of it left. Sar still has some in shop at Scrapbook Savvy here if you want to get your hands on some of it.

Well, it's time to crank my coffee machine up and get a caffeine fix to get me through the early morning dramas of getting 2 teenage girls ready for school LOL

Thanks for all the beautiful comments on my last post, they really made my day <3

i'm a lucky girl

wow, three posts in two days! I do have a lot to catch up on LOL.

At the end of April (I know..slack blogger!) I flew down to Melbourne for a retreat organised by the gorgeous Mal Gardner. I had the amazing time, finally meeting some online friends that live in Melbourne and I also got to spend some time with my cuz
Sar Ward and my Hunter Valley friends :))

Anyhooooo, my beautiful friend Ebony Van der Starre (who's birthday it is today! happy birthday honey!) needed a photo of sisters so that she could do the Scrap the Girls challenge for April. So I quickly put my hand up and went searching through the photos looking for one of the girls for her to do.

Eb didn't get it done at the retreat, but managed to get it done at home, just in time to get it uploaded and linked by the end of the month.

I was a bit excited when I picked up the box at the post office and it had Eb's return address on the back... the layout was here!

I love it! And the girls were arguing over who's albums it was going to get put into hee hee, they ain't getting it! It's going into mine!

It is getting to the end of the month quickly and I have a few challenges that I want to get done so I will be back soon to share those with you.

Thanks for dropping by and leaving your comments, they make my day mwah

she's a friend indeed

The reason that this is on my mind tonight is because I am doing a layout of one of my bestest friends Lisa.. this girl is amazing.... my whole family love her and Dr Shane and their beautiful kids...I am sure that I have told this story before, but I met her online on a scrapbooking forum and she invited me to come and scrap the day away because I was on the Gold Coast on holidays... it was the day that we were packing up from being there for 4 weeks and my darling husband told me to go... and he went home and unpacked everything!

ok,  I arrived at Miss Lisa's house.. just a bit nervous... I knocked once... and knocked twice (didn't realise that they all had to get away from the lounge room window where  they were checking the country girl out) and this BEAUTIFUL GIRL answered the door.... and the rest in history!

Yep.. she is one of my bestest friends, she is always there when I need her. And me for her. And oh does she make me laugh! One of my best medicines. (love you honey!)

So on that note, after visiting her recently and me doing that whole 'arty farty sharty' thing lately... Lisa told  suggested to me that I need to blend the two together.....

so the photo that I choose to use for my 'transition' obviously had to be of us!

love my 'happy hands' and I love my Wicked Princesses apron, because somehow I end up with paint and ink everywhere! LOL

i've been absent again

I am not having a very good time health wise this year. This really sums it up for me at the moment

I have spent a lot of the last two weeks with one of these attached to my arm.

This was taken on the weekend, I was a wee bit excited as it was fairly normal.  It didn't last long though :(  I am back to the Doctor tomorrow for another check up and I would say that they would increase the medication again to try and get it stabilised.

But I would seriously rather having a few health issues than the mental health issues that I have been dealing with for most of my adult life.

So with not feeling well, means that I haven't had a lot of mojo since I got my scrap room all sorted.. I am so happy with how it has turned out. I thought I would show you a couple of photos that I took on my iPhone.

I love that my desk looks out over my garden and our front paddock
(and the natural light that comes in there is amazing!)

I have had these pink and blue boxes for quite a while and I knew that they would look amazing on the white Expedits.I have all of my embellies, ribbon, string and paints and mists in them.
If only our local Reject shop had more of these I would be a happy scrapper LOL.
This expedit is behind my desk and has all of my tools, alphas, stamps and art journalling supplies.  I am still on the look out for the perfect boxes to go in here.

To the left of this is a floor to ceiling wall length cupboards that seriously need a good clean out *hide my red face here*
I know that one third of that cupboard is full of albums or new albums that have to have the mountain of layouts sorted and filed into.  Another job to do!

So with all of the clean up and sorting that has been happening I have lots of goodies that I haven't used from kits. So stayed tuned for a give away soon :))

Thanks for dropping by
