friendship

After the awful start that we have had this year, the above quote could not have been truer. The love and support that I have had from my friends all over the country has warmed my heart. It saddens me that I haven't had the same from the people that I would have expected too, but the support of my TRUE friends certainly makes up for the hurt.

One of those True friends did something beautiful for me a few weeks ago. I arrived home from work and there was a parcel on my scrap desk. To say I blubbered like a baby when I read the letter attached and opened the box is an understatement.

This is what I found

Can you see why I cried?

Kirst took this selfie of herself and my dad just after we found out that Dad had terminal cancer.

Thank you Sarah, I will always treasure this beautiful gift.

Sending you all love and hugs

christmas or not christmas?

Anyone that knows me knows that I don't scrap Christmas. Unless they are family photos taken with everyone. And then I don't really use Christmas paper for that either. I have used the JBS Winter Tortellini and Spinach collection pack from SFS. Sadly this kit is sold out, but it might give you some inspiration on how to use those left over Christmas papers that you have in your stash.

I love this photo on the last layout. I awoke one morning and a friend had used a app on her ipad to make this Santa's little helper photo of me and uploaded it on my wall...it gave me a good giggle hee hee.

Thanks for dropping by and leaving me some love.

he said, she said

The Teresa Collins 'He Said, She Said' Designer Kits from SFS are absolutely delicious! A definate must have in your stash.

Aren't they gorgeous. Nice thick papers to work with, they handle mists really well, without warping, and that is always as bonus!

TC She SaidCW Circle Grid

TC She Said

TC He Said

I have heaps left over of both and I am sure that I can use them all up until I have just scraps left.

I will be back soon with some more layout shares.

the magic hundred!

Woot woot! I've just noticed that I have 100 followers now on my blog!

Well, in all that excitement I have some layout shares for you! Yes! I have been scrapping!

Last month Peta sent me a gorgeous DT kit from Scrapbooking from Scratch. This kit was so great that it sold out very quickly.

I have managed 3 layouts so far from the kit and I have enough papers left to do a few more.

I have used the kit for this months Scrap the Girls Challenge (green, black and white)

I also used the kit for my colour challenge @ SFS this month.

Peta still has some other of the Designer Kits left in store, but you will have to be quick because she is taking them to a retreat this weekend, and I am sure that there won't be any left once the Scrap Girls see them!

Thanks for dropping by, I will be back in the next day or so to show you some more layouts with some other of the great kits that Peta has in the store.

march scrap the girls challenge

After having last month off you would think that I would be more organised with getting this months sample done. But nope.... scraped it in with only hours to go.

Here is my sample

Pop over to the store and grab yourself one before they all sell out.

Thank you for dropping by!

some exciting news!

My gorgeous friend Kellie is due to have baby soon, so she has stood down from Scrapbooking from Scratch's Design Team. And I have taken her place!

I will still be doing the role of 'Director of Social Media' and also supporting Peta in what ever way I can.

So for my first challenge for the DT is a colour challenge. I would like you to use this colour pallet for your inspiration on your layout.

I love the fresh colours in this paper range.

Don't forget to check out the Charm and Deb's challenges in the forum too

Also, if you are on Facebook don't forget to 'like' SFS to keep up with all of the news from the store.

I would like to thank you for all of the kind words on my last blog post about my dad.  He has now finished his 2nd lot Chemo, and now it is just a waiting game to see if it has slowed it down. He is having some testing next week, so just a waiting game now.

So, I am trying to keep busy and not think about it too much. And our flooded weekend certainly helped with that. Luckily we are high and dry out here, I do feel for those poor people in town near the creek that have had to mop up twice in 5 weeks...

anyhoo, back to scrapping. I will bring you the new Scrap the Girls challenge in the next couple of days
